Environmental Economics and Public Policy Seminar Series, featuring Jeffrey Shrader

September 12 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Jeffrey Shrader is an economist at the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University. His research focuses on environmental and labor economics. He is particularly interested in how beliefs affect decision making, the role of forecasts and other informational interventions in shaping beliefs, and the ways that taking these factors into account can change our understanding of important issues ranging from routine time use to the damage from climate change. He also has a research agenda trying to convince himself that leisure time can improve his labor productivity (see here).
